CORONATION Street’s Beth Tinker walked away from Weatherfield after 13 years in an emotional exit.
Lisa George walked away from her cobbles role after deciding to quit the soap earlier this year.
Beth was forced to flee from Coronation Street after a showdown with her son Craig’s boss Kit Green.
The factory worker had discovered Kit’s dodgy policeman ways and had threatened to expose him if he didn’t cut her back in on the back street clothes selling deal.
In response, Kit got Craig drunk and encouraged him to spill his secrets on his criminal activities.
He then used this information threaten Beth that her son’s career would be over if she ever released the video she had of Kit engaging with the clothes-selling crook.

Kit made Beth leave town in order to ensure she was far enough away from his job so that she wouldn’t ever expose his secret.
When it came to saying her goodbyes, Beth could not stop the tears from flowing as she sobbed to her son Craig before making her way to Norfolk for a brand new job.
She was waved off by Daniel and her grandson Bertie as well as factory pals Izzy and Sean who sent her off with some gifts.
As she climbed into a taxi, it was clear she was saddened that her ex Kirk had not turned up to see her.

Suddenly, Kirk re-appeared with the former couple’s beloved dog Peanut in his arms as he pleaded with Beth to let him come with her and give their marriage a go.
However, she was adamant that she needed to go alone as she decided to have a fresh start.
Speaking about her heartbreaking final scenes, Lisa said: “It was so hard and it was sad.
“I was really sad filming it myself because it was gorgeous, and you see in that scene it was heartbreaking, because it was everything that she wanted.
“It was awful. She broke his [Kirk] heart, and even when she left he was saying, I’ll change, I’ll change whatever you want, believing it was his fault.
“I got a right lump in my throat when we filmed it, because it actually felt really real when she said ‘you know, you haven’t done anything wrong. You don’t need to change. You’re always perfect to me’.
“That was really hard. It was really sad.”
Lisa continued: “Unusually Beth’s departure was my final scene of filming, often we film out of order but as I filmed it I knew Beth was leaving and it was my final scene on the cobbles.

“Halfway through when he called the cab to stop, and they got out I actually got really, quite tearful.
“I cried afterwards because it’s been this huge part of my life for such a long time.”
Coronation Street’s 2024 shock exits
Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let’s break down who’s left the famous soap:
Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.
The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza’s grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.
After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.
Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.
Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.
Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul’s impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.
Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.
The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.
Simon’s been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.
Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.
It looks likely she’ll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.
Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.
Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.
