Leanne has devoted her life to living by the word of Rowan and splashing the cash to access all the benefits of the odd scheme.
It has seen the Bistro owner learn how to “upload and download” as well as seek calmness in moments of stress.
Rowan has managed to encourage Leanne to follow his teachings at every move despite seeming both simple and far-fetched.
As part of The Institute’s plan, they recreated her dead child Oliver into AI form – in scenes that viewers branded as “sick” due to their poor taste.
It saw Leanne seek comfort in the computer-generated version of Oliver.
With her closest ones left utterly baffled by Leanne’s participation in The Institute, her sister Toyah has found herself at loggerheads, and in legal trouble, with the firm.
Now, in shock spoilers, Leanne will be left attempting to sign one of the younger Weatherfield crowd up to the cult.
In scenes soon to be screened, Toyah will be left horrified when she finds Leanne showing Amy an institute video.
Leanne will be seen proving the benefits of the group to Amy, who already had her first peek at what they were all about during a ceremony held at the Bistro to mark Leanne moving up to a Level 5.
Amy will be advised by Leanne that joining the group would help to relieve her stress.
