EastEnders star Alice Haig, who made her Walford debut this week as Vicki Fowler, has a very well known father.
The star, 40, is the daughter of David Haig, who is perhaps best known for playing Bernard in Four Weddings and a Funeral.
David has appeared in numerous TV and film roles, as well as a number of theatre shows, over his four decades in the business.
The 69-year-old’s TV credits include Doctor Who, The Bill, The Darling Buds Of May, Dalziel and Pascoe, My Family, Doc Martin and The Thick Of It.
He also starred as Bill Margrave in hugely popular drama Killing Eve.
David, who was appointed MBE in 2013, reprised his role of Bernard in the Red Nose Day sequel to Four Weddings and A Funeral in 2019 and also appeared in Tow Weeks Notice.
He was a series regular on Sky One / Sky Max original series COBRA, which aired between 2020 and 2023.
Alice, meanwhile, joined the cast of EastEnders earlier this week as Vicki Fowler, who is arguably one of the show’s most-remembered characters, given that she is the daughter of Michelle Fowler and Den Watts.
Vicki arrived back in Walford for the first time in two decades on Monday (March 30) for Martin’s (James Bye) funeral.
Sharon (Letitia Dean) was overwhelmed to see her sister, who brought along with her new partner Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) and his son Joel (Max Murray).
However, secrets soon emerged, with Vicki and Ross desperate to get their hands on some cash, leaving Sharon determined to figure out what exactly they are up to.
Martin’s funeral takes place next week and it’s set to be an emotional one, with the character having played a huge role in the BBC One soap over the last 40 years.
