LISA Swain makes a disturbing discovery about Joel Deering in Coronation Street.

The detective has been on the twisted lawyers case for weeks now after learning of his involvement with

Lauren Bolton.

Lisa has been working with Joel’s ex-fiancee Dee-Dee, ever since the lawyer made the horrifying discovery that her future husband had groomed and attacked the teen, before getting her pregnant and then trying to abort the baby.

However, Joel has managed to stay one step ahead of the pair so far, but then women are still determined to bring him down.

In upcoming Coronation Street scenes, Lisa informs Dee-Dee that Joel’s work phone showed some text message exchanges with a female and she’s going to follow it up.

Craig agrees to help track down Ellie, the contact from Joel’s phone, but is warned that nobody must find out or they could lose their jobs.

Meanwhile, some Coronation Street fans are desperate for the storyline to end as they think there are too many crime-focused topics on the soap at the moment.

As well as Joel’s criminal undertakings, Corrie has also been airing a cult storyline which has seen its leader Rowan scam money out of Leanne Battersby and more recently, Amy Barlow.

“So tedious, this Joel c*p,” one soap viewer criticised on X.

While another said: “Detective Dee Dee on corrie is the most crap storyline ever.”

“Just when I thought this storyline couldn’t get any worse,” fumed a third viewer.

Meanwhile others moaned about the cult storyline, with one writing: “Get this institute storyline wrapped up. It’s so tedious.

“I get you raising awareness, but it’s been ages and is boring now. Let’s have some humour back.”
