The 48-year-old actress, who is best known for playing Michelle Connor on the soap, posted a black and white snap of her parents on Instagram.
‘Today is Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary. 59 years today,’ she said.
‘He may not be here physically @marshyswife but he will be around you always. To be with you both was truly to be in the presence of love and devotion.’
She added: ‘That will never die. We’ve got you mum. Promise. Love you both with all of my heart always.’
Former Coronation Street star Kym had spoken publicly about her father’s prostate cancer on a number of occasions since she revealed his diagnosis in 2021.
‘It is with immense sadness that we confirm the passing of David Marsh,’ read the statement.
