SHOCKING NEWS!! ITV’s Coronation Street’s Hope star unrecognisable in first-ever soap appearance

Coronation Street is about to welcome Hope Stape back on screens – and she’s no longer the tiny tot that

we all grew to love and adore.

The teen star, played by Isabella Flanagan, looks nothing like how viewers will remember when she last

was on TV as a smaller child.

Adoring fans of the ITV soap will already know that Hope is the daughter of Fiz and John Stape but has instead been raised by her mum and stepfather Tyrone Dobbs.

In 2010, as a newborn baby, Hope made her Corrie debut as a three-month premature baby. She was delivered early after her mum was caught up in an awful tram crash but fortunately, both Fizz and Hope survived.

Her first year of life was also not without a harrowing twist and turn of events when her biological father John died before her first birthday.

John had been on the run, following the deaths of Colin Fishwick, Charlotte Hoyle, and Joy Fishwick, when he lost control of his vehicle – with the car accident proving to be fatal.

Hope is about to land another bombshell storyline

Fiz then went on to reconcile with her former boyfriend Tyrone, with the two becoming a blended family, along with his daughter Ruby in 2013.

Things really looked to be on the up for the now family of four, when tragedy struck again, Hope suffered a number of health issues, with Fizz and Tyrone later being informed it was cancer.

At just age four, Hope was battling for her life and undergoing treatment to rid herself of the awful disease. Fortunately, luck was on her side and she did beat her cancer.

Unsurprisingly, given the tragic start in life, Hope did go on to develop behaviour issues and in 2020 attempted to flee with half-sister Jade Rowan.

At the time, Jade made up a fabricated story about the girls being abused at home. The stress of the lies proved to be too much for Tyrone who left Fizz for Alina Pop the following year.

Alina had been pregnant with Tyrone’s baby and they were looking forward to starting a family of their own, when Hope started a fire at 2a Coronation Street, causing Alina to lose her baby.

After all the drama surrounding Hope already on the iconic cobbles, she is back on screens and according to soap spoilers is about to be involved in a major baby bombshell storyline.
