In upcoming scenes of Coronation Street, Carla Connor (Alison King) shocks her family with a revelation connected to the murder of Joel Deering (Calum Lill), but she’s not the only one

harboring a secret.

Earlier this month, Joel Deering was found murdered, prompting an investigation to uncover his killer. Initially, the police believed his disappearance at the end of September pointed to

suicide.

However, after his body was discovered in a river, a post-mortem examination revealed he had died before entering the water, leading to an active murder investigation.

With Joel having made many enemies, several suspects have emerged, and Carla’s behavior is raising eyebrows. In forthcoming episodes, Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) confronts her about her actions on the night of Joel’s death.

The last sighting of Joel was on September 27, where he was found with visible scratches on his face, suggesting he had been involved in a fight. Carla claims she merely stepped out to turn off the factory lights—though doubts linger regarding her honesty.

Things take a turn the following day when Carla admits to Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) that she misled the police, claiming she had spent the entire evening at home with him and Ryan.

Why is Carla lying to the authorities? Is she concealing a significant detail that could link her to Joel’s murder, or could she be the perpetrator herself?

Meanwhile, DS Lisa Swain is also keeping a secret. Her daughter, Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin), is taken aback when she discovers Lisa covered in bruises—raising questions about their origin.
