But when Lauren receives the results of his blood tests she learns it’s more sinister than they thought.
She’s then left to break the news to Max Turner, but Lauren is secretly struggling with her mental health.
In heartbreaking scenes Lauren will finally receive Frankie’s diagnosis and the process will begin for a suitable donor.
His illness is set to be revealed during next week’s Coronation Street episodes, from Monday, December 9th.
Meanwhile, Dee Dee will continue to hide her secret baby from cobbles residents.
Viewers will see her confide in Sarah Platt as she finally makes a decision on her pregnancy.
However, after making her mind up she is left torn when she learns of baby Frankie’s diagnosis.
