EASTENDERS fans are annoyed that show bosses didn’t bring back one character permanently after her over-hyped reappearance ended up
being short and sweet.
Viewers started to get excited for Jane Beale’s return to Walford when Bobby mentioned she was coming to help him make a fresh start.
They were hopeful that her reunion scenes with Bobby would prompt a move back to the city.
However, this was not to be, as the teen packed his bags and headed to the Cotswolds with his adoptive mum instead.
Jane was driven out of EastEnders in 2017 when Max Branning’s threats forced her to move.
She left her husband Ian a heartbreaking voicemail, confessing: “Oh God, Ian, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry I had to leave like that, I had to fake it.

“This is going to sound crazy, but we were being watched. I don’t exactly get what’s going on but I don’t know who we can trust.”
Fans complained that “all the good” characters were leaving EastEnders after seeing her final scenes.
Now they have taken to social media to share their disappointment about Jane’s short-lived return.
One sighed: “I was hoping Jane was coming back. Looks like another quick appearance and gone again.”
Another added: “Such a shame Jane didn’t get any scenes with Sharon or Linda.”
A third moaned: “Clenshaw continues to blow it.”

Someone else joked: “There’s no way we can still ship Bobby off to the Cotswolds but keep Jane?”
When actress Laurie Brett stopped playing Jane, she told viewers: “I’ve loved every minute of playing Jane. To return to EastEnders with such a huge storyline was an absolute gift.
“However, what I have known from the start is that with the soap gods watching us at all times, there is only so long before things go full circle.
“It’s been hard keeping the secret but the storyline has been great to play out and I have loved every minute of it.”
