Emmerdale will air some dark scenes for April Windsor over the Christmas week, following a recent revelation.
April is currently on a downward spiral after not only being kidnapped by Jade, but learning the truth of her mum Donna’s death 10 years ago. Although Ross Barton
insisted that she shouldn’t, April couldn’t help but blame herself.
In scenes set to air next week, Marlon goes through April’s phone and sees that she’s been trying to buy cannabis. When he confronts her about it, she storms out.
Marlon later sees Ross and pins him against a wall, blaming him for April acting out and asking him to end his friendship with her.
When April later sees Ross, she’s upset to find him being cold with her, and realises Marlon is behind it. She spirals even further, and Marlon is left feeling guilty that he’s just made things worse.
April steals a bottle of wine from the pub and tries to get Cathy Hope to drink it with her, but feels dejected when she’s turned down. A drunk April later makes a spectacle of herself in front of Bob, Brenda Walker, and Wendy Posner, and when she spills drink over Donna’s memory card, Marlon is even more furious.
On the morning of Christmas Day, Marlon feels emotional when he opens a sentimental gift from his daughter.
Having let her sleep off the alcohol from the day before, he goes to talk to April… only to find that she’s not there.
As a search begins, will Marlon be able to find April? And will they be able to repair their broken relationship?
