EastEnders is set to expose Denise and Ravi’s secret relationship next week.

At Christmas, the former flames reignited their romance, but Denise has been keen to keep things under wraps for now. There is also unfinished business with Jack, especially after he helped save her when she was attacked by Nish on New Year’s Day.

In Monday’s episode (January 6), Ravi told Denise to walk away from their relationship, after admitting that he deliberately pushed his dad off the balcony.

But things will get resolved as, in scenes that will air next week, the pair will continue to meet up secretly – but almost get caught by Chelsea and Kim.

Meanwhile, Denise will invite Jack and the Brannings to celebrate Raymond’s birthday, with Nigel persuading her to invite Phil too. As Ravi gets jealous of Jack at the party, Denise is furious with Phil’s selfish behaviour, and the pair clash.

But when Ravi and Denise head off for a private moment together, they’ll be caught kissing by Ravi’s son Nugget.

With Ravi attempting to keep Nugget quiet, Denise heads home, panicking that her secret affair will mean she loses her family. She is supported by Jack, who thinks she is upset because of Phil – and it isn’t long before Denise and Phil are arguing again.

Ravi notices Denise and Jack looking close, and he gets jealous of the pair. He confronts Denise and tells her that he refuses to be her dirty little secret for much longer.

Later in the week, Jack invites Denise for lunch, but she turns him down. As she explains that they shouldn’t blur the lines of their friendship, their exchange is overheard by an amused Nicola.

Denise reassures Ravi and tells him that she isn’t interested in Jack, but insists that they can’t go public with their relationship as she doesn’t want to lose Chelsea.

After being rejected, Jack drowns his sorrows at Harry’s Barn, but notices Chelsea being harassed by some men. He steps in, and during a violent tussle, Jack gets punched. Nicola sends the men away, and allows Jack to clean himself up in the office.

The next day, Denise thanks a hungover Jack for trying to protect Chelsea, and she invites him out for a drink. Is there still a spark between the pair?

It has recently been announced that, next month, the public will be able to decide whether Denise chooses to be with Ravi or Jack, in an interactive show-first as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations.
