EastEnders aired a game-changing plot in Cindy Beale’s ongoing feud with Ian Beale.

Viewers saw Cindy previously lash out at her ex-husband, throwing a punch at him after failing to find her missing locket which would link Ian to her attack at Christmas.

Priya Nandra-Hart came to Ian’s rescue at the time and in tonight’s episode is seen getting even friendlier with the cafe owner – but all isn’t as it seems.

The episode begins with Priya and Ian still at The Vic, enjoying a drink and continuing their scheme to make exes Cindy and Ravi jealous. Cindy inevitably takes the bait, confronting the pair and claiming that Ian has paid Priya to hang out with him.

“I ain’t the one jumping into bed with my stepchildren,” Priya retaliates, which leads to Cindy throwing a drink over her.

Ian breaks up the confrontation and tells Cindy that he’ll never let her back into his house to get whatever it is she’s looking for. He then escorts Priya back to his to get cleaned up.

Back at Ian’s, he apologises for Cindy’s outburst and getting her involved in their drama, with Priya telling him not to worry. He offers to open a bottle of wine and the two head to the living room to have a drink on the sofa.

The two toast to the “Bad Exes” club and grow a little closer, so much so that Ian leans in for a kiss, before retreating and apologising.

Shortly after, Kathy arrives calling Priya a “cheap tart”, cueing Priya’s exit. Kathy worries about what Priya wants from Ian, but he assures his mum that “she’s just a friend”.

After leaving Ian’s, Priya heads to the cafe for a late night meeting with none other than Cindy. Turns out Priya is being paid by her to get the locket for Cindy, duping Ian in the process.

“This payout better be worth it,” she tells her, with Cindy replying: “You find me that locket, so I can prove that Ian was the one who attacked me and you can have everything we agreed.”
