EastEnders‘ Reiss Colwell has begun to hide a big secret after his deadly actions, in the show’s latest
episode.
This week, Reiss has been faced with huge financial difficulties, a situation that was made even worse
after he tried to scam Sharon and faced a serious threat from Phil.
When visiting his wife Debbie, who remained in a coma in the care home, Reiss despaired over his money problems and then thought of a new solution.

In a horrific twist, Reiss removed one of Debbie’s pillows then used it to smother her, in an attempt to kill his wife.
The latest episode began straight after the shocking murder, with Reiss calmly checking Debbie’s pulse to make sure that she was dead before replacing the pillow.
He went to leave, but it was a challenge, as he had to make sure he wasn’t caught by a nurse.

Meanwhile, Sonia was in high spirits at home and was cooking Reiss a nice meal, but she was interrupted by Martin and Lauren, who tried to convince her not to sell the house.
They told her that they had doubts about Reiss, but Sonia was furious and reminded them of their own failings – before looking at a photo of Dot for comfort.
As Sonia got a phone call from the care home, Reiss walked home in a daze, with Martin and Lauren telling him that she had a surprise.
When Reiss returned, Sonia broke the news that Debbie had died and he was inconsolable, then Sonia suggested they go to the care home to get answers.
The couple were told that Debbie could have died from pneumonia, and Reiss was shocked to discover that Sonia had visited her earlier that evening.
They then met with the police to answer questions, and they revealed that a post-mortem would take place.

When they returned home, Reiss found Sonia’s surprise and discovered that she was planning to put the house on the market, but now didn’t need to after Debbie’s death.
The irony of the situation was not lost on Reiss, who realised that he had killed his own wife when all his problems would have been solved the very next day.
Reiss laughed, then broke down in tears and was supported by Sonia. But how long will he keep this murderous secret to himself?
