Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) are caught in the act in EastEnders next week, as the truth about their romance threatens to explode.
The pair have been seeing each other since an encounter on Christmas Day reignited the old spark between them.
Next week, the couple have a near miss with Denise’s daughter – and Ravi’s ex – Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) and her sister Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), just as Denise is also trying to arrange a birthday party for son Raymond.
At the youngster’s party, Ravi gets jealous of Denise’s ex-husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) before he steals a moment with Denise.
But their secret is uncovered when Ravi’s son Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) catches them kissing.
‘It’s the worst thing that could have happened because Ravi and Denise want the decision of when to tell people about their relationship to be in their hands, nobody else’s,’ explains Aaron, who plays Ravi.
‘So, for Nugget, Ravi’s child, to see that and having to explain that whole situation to him makes it feel like the world is coming crashing down on them.’
Ravi then takes control of keeping Nugget quiet, as Denise heads home in a panic that she’s about to lose her family over their secret affair.
However, Aaron reveals there are some ‘beautiful scenes’ to come between father and son as a result of Nugget’s discovery.
Aaron says: ‘Ravi has seen that Nugget is becoming more mature and the only way he can get through to his son, who is a typical teenager, is to speak to him on a level of maturity. He has to talk to Nugget like an adult and not speak down to him.
‘Ravi explains to his son that one day he’ll meet someone, and it could be tricky, and that’s the situation that Ravi is in and he’s trying to find a way through it.
‘There are some beautiful scenes between them. It’s new for Ravi in his journey as a father to communicate and relate to his son in this way.’
Will Nugget agree to keep quiet?
Denise first found herself increasingly drawn to Ravi amid troubles in her marriage to Jack back in 2023.
While there was a sizzling attraction between them, Denise stopped short of sleeping with Ravi, who then embarked upon a relationship with her daughter Chelsea as revenge.
Denise became determined to split them up after finding out Ravi had killed adopted father Ranveer Gulati (Anil Goutam), before she then split from Jack in the wake of his own affair with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
However, since then, Jack and Denise have given in to passion a few times and shared plenty of warm moments as part of their blended family.
Earlier this week, it was revealed the trio will be at the centre of the soap’s interactive vote as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations next month.
Viewers will get to decide the outcome of the love triangle, which will be revealed during a special live episode.
Discussing the history-making moment, EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw said: ‘We’re all so excited to give our audience their first ever chance to decide how one of our big storylines plays out.
‘Their votes will determine whether Denise picks Jack or Ravi, with the outcome being revealed as part of our live episode. There is a lot to come over the next few weeks for all three involved, so it’ll be extremely exciting to see which way the audience choose to take the story!’
Details of how viewers will be able to vote will be revealed in due course.
