EastEnders fans have slammed Kim Fox and Mo Slater for their behaviour towards Sonia Fowler.
Sonia recently discovered that her sister Bianca had gone behind her back to appear on a true crime podcast. Bianca was offered a large sum of money to talk about her kidnap ordeal at the hands of Reiss Colwell, who had also murdered his wife Debbie.
The podcast quickly went viral and Sonia has been receiving unwanted attention as the woman who was involved with “the coma killer“. Meanwhile, online influencer Kim has been using the opportunity to boost her followers by live-streaming outside Sonia’s house.
In tonight’s episode, Kim and Mo try to cash in on the interest in “the coma killer” by taking true crime fans on a tour of the “murder house”.
“Now, just for an extra ten of your finest English pounds, we can get his lover out for a cheeky picture,” she tells them.
Sonia is furious at her neighbours and demands they get rid of the people outside her house. When Mo offers to cut her in on the deal, Sonia slams the door in their faces. “Sonia, it’s not personal, it’s just business!” Kim assures her.
The clip was posted on the EastEnders Instagram page and fans quickly condemned Kim and Mo’s actions, with one commenting: “I love kim but this is so wrong”.
They pointed out that Kim should be sympathetic towards Sonia, as her own husband Vincent Hubbard was mysteriously murdered and could also become the subject of a true crime podcast.
“Kim needs to wind her neck in! If people were doing a documentary about why Vincent got killed, she’d soon change her tune,” one said. “Kim wouldn’t want people to ask what happened to Vincent. Then, she wouldn’t say ‘it’s only business,'” another added.
In a twist that has sent shockwaves through EastEnders fans, two of Walford’s most colorful characters—Kim Fox and Big Mo Slater—have come under fire for their outrageous behaviour towards Sonia Fowler. Viewers watched in disbelief as the pair shamelessly tried to profit off Sonia’s recent trauma, sparking fierce backlash both in Albert Square and across social media.
The drama kicked off when Sonia Fowler was blindsided by the revelation that her sister, Bianca Jackson, had secretly accepted a lucrative deal to appear on a popular true crime podcast. The subject? Sonia’s own terrifying involvement in a case that rocked the community to its core—her relationship with Reiss Colwell, infamously known as “the coma killer.”
Reiss, as long-time viewers will remember, was revealed to have murdered his wife Debbie while keeping up a facade of normalcy. Sonia’s connection to him—though completely innocent—has painted a target on her back, especially now that the podcast has gone viral. Sonia has been bombarded with intrusive questions and unwanted media attention. She’s become a symbol of scandal against her will.
And while most people would expect support and understanding from friends and neighbours, Sonia received the opposite. Instead of rallying behind her, Kim Fox and Big Mo saw an opportunity—and grabbed it with both hands.
