Yolande Truman’s (Angela Wynter) devastating abuse by Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler) has stuck a

chord with EastEnders fans, who have poured praise onto the actress.

Yolande suffered a terrifying ordeal when she was sexually assaulted by Pastor Clayton, and recent

episodes have seen her open up to her family about what she went through.

Unfortunately, her hopes of bringing the Pastor to justice were dashed when she was hit with the devastating news that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him.

However, an unexpected visit from Levi (Mark Akintimehin) brings hope that Pastor Clayton might get his comeuppance if his victims fight back.

The latest developments in the storyline have roused EastEnders viewers, and many have been quick to shower actress Angela Wynter with praise for her portrayal of Yolande.

On X (formerly Twitter), @RyanTheSoapKing said: ‘We are so privileged to have Angela Wynter in our Cast. Yolande’s scenes tonight were so heartbreaking and emotional to watch’.

They added: ‘Once the Inside Soap Awards nominations are released next month, Angela will get my vote as Best Actress and I hope Angela Wynter & Rudolph Walker (Patrick) will be nominated for Best Partnership and Single Episode.’
