This article contains spoilers for tonight’s EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
Last night’s highly anticipated EastEnders episode ended in disaster as the lives of Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) were left hanging in the balance.
Nish had been determined to get revenge on Suki and Eve ever since discovering their love affair, though their loved ones did everything they could to stop him.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, and nasty Nish managed to enact his final revenge by poisoning Eve’s champagne.
Moments later, a confrontation with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) saw him go flying over the railings of a balcony, pulling ex-wife Suki with him.
Also caught in the crossfire was Denise, who was struck over the head by Nish earlier in the episode.
In today’s instalment, the BBC soap confirmed the outcome of the deadly twists, and it’s good news for Sukeve fans.
As panic ensued among the wedding guests, ambulances were called, with Suki and Eve being rushed to hospital. There, it was confirmed that Nish had taken the brunt of the fall, which may have saved Suki’s life.
Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was also relieved to discover that Eve had been given an antidote to the poison.
There were sighs of relief all round when Eve came round, but it was clear she was more concerned about wife Suki than her own condition.
As Stacey explained what had happened, Eve rushed off to find Suki, before settling at her bedside, refusing to move.
Eve begged Suki to fight in emotional scenes, and eventually she woke up.
