EastEnders has confirmed Kojo and Kobina Asare’s futures following a heartbreaking discovery.
Queen Vic barman George Knight was recently reunited with his long-lost biological
brothers after family friend Angela brought them for a visit from Ghana.
The brothers tried to build bridges through recent episodes, as George learned Kojo is autistic. However, George made a discovery in Thursday’s (August 29) episode that changed everything.
Elaine confided in her partner that she was worried about Kojo having an outburst after he’d gotten upset with Kobina the night before and slept at the Vic.
Kobina arrived to diffuse the situation when Kojo became agitated once again. This led to a dramatic conversation where George and Kobina had it out about their father’s murder at the hands of Eddie Knight.
Kobina announced that he would return to Ghana with their brother, before George discovered bruises on Kojo’s arms.
While George initially worried Kobina was abusing their brother, he soon understood the bruises were the result of Kojo having to be restrained while agitated.
“I have never hit my brother. I would never hit my brother,” Kobina insisted.
Kobina admitted he was having trouble caring for Kojo. Before their mother died, Kojo had lived with her and had never lashed out.
“My sons, they get scared,” Kobin confided in George. “They’re kind but I can see it in their eyes. My wife is strong but she gets scared, too.”
He confessed: “I like to think I’m a good father and a good husband, but I’m not a good brother. I try, but I’m not good. I don’t think I can handle it. I don’t know if I can help him.”
George offered for Kojo to stay in Walford for a while where he could take care of him. A grateful Kobina broke the news to Kojo but assured him he was only a phone call away.
Kojo asked for his brother to call him “soon” as they shared an emotional goodbye. The episode ended with George trying to come up with a fun day for Kojo, yet his brother was insistent on waiting for Kobina to call.
George forgot he had something cooking, and as the smoke alarm went off, Kojo was frightened. George had to restrain Kojo from panicking and assured him everything was fine.
The episode left off with George and Elaine concerned for Kojo’s well-being…
