Lauren’s revelation over Christmas Day sparks fresh tensions between her and Peter. Cindy is told that she’ll be discharged from hospital tomorrow, so Peter promise to find her a place to stay.
Ian refuses to let Cindy move back in, so Peter tricks Reiss into letting Cindy have the spare room at his house. Later, Peter’s problems get worse.
Meanwhile, Martin informs Reiss that Sonia’s trial has been adjourned due to his recent actions.
Elsewhere, Denise refuses an invitation to go for lunch with Jack, insisting that they shouldn’t blur the lines of their friendship. She then assures Ravi that she’s no longer interested in Jack, but stresses that they can’t go public because she doesn’t want to lose Chelsea.
Later, Jack intervenes when a group of men behave inappropriately towards Chelsea at the club, but a violent tussle sees him get punched. Nicola invites Jack to clean himself up in the office.
Also today, Ruby feels sidelined when Stacey offers to help Martin with his fight to save the market.
