It was a dramatic night in Walford tonight as EastEnders aired two huge returns – but that wasn’t all as two life changing secrets were revealed that are set to ‘change everything’

Two huge secrets are set to change everything in Walford… 

It was all systems go in Walford tonight, as not only did three characters make their return to EastEnders – but two life changing secrets were finally revealed.

After his return was announced earlier this year, Anthony Trueman made his way back to the Square for Patrick and Yolande’s wedding, but was later left reeling when he found out his father had been attacked.

On Thursday, Oscar drunkenly confessed to Jack that he was the one to attack Patrick, as he later told the Truemans the case has been dropped. However, Jack couldn’t keep the secret from his partner Denise, as he confessed all.

After scolding Oscar, Denise said she “could let sleeping dogs lie,” but the guilt became too much for Oscar, who confessed all to Patrick at the end of the episode. But how will he react?

Anthony Trueman made his way back to the Square  

It wasn’t the only huge reveal, as Tommy finally found out Alfie had been lying to Kat the whole time, as he heard Alfie’s drunken voicemail on Kat’s phone. It came after Harry had given Joel the job of wiping stolen phones, with Kat’s in the mix as fans will remember her phone was snatched outside the Queen Vic a few weeks ago.

Viewers saw Alfie send the voicemail in Barcelona, confessing to Kat that Zoe was in Stacey’s flat in London – and that he had gone to Barcelona to try and help her and bring her back to Walford. Tommy was left fuming with “lying coward” Alfie – but will he reveal all to Kat?

If that wasn’t enough drama in E20, Lily Slater also made her return to the Square after staying with her biological father Ryan after Martin’s death. Elsewhere, Johnny Carter made his return after heading off on a cruise with his mum Linda after they sold the Vic. Johnny made an early return for work, with Linda and the kids sunning it up in Mexico.

Oscar confessed all to Patrick 

Lily and Johnny’s return didn’t come without drama of course, as Lily revealed that Tommy’s secret account had been liking troll comments aimed towards Stacey after Joel leaked her SecretCam pictures online.

Tommy later came clean to Kat and Alfie calling Stacey an “embarrassment” and saying all the comments on the posts were true – as he went on a disgusting rant, apparently inspired by his friend Joel’s misogynistic views.

The cameras then panned over to the Albert, where Billy, Lexi and Callum sat for some drinks, however, the mood wasn’t exactly light. Lexi was then seen storming off, and when Callum asked Billy what it was all about, Billy didn’t hold back.

“Maybe she’s clocked you eyeing up Dale Winton over there,” he said, meaning Johnny. “Like everyone else in this bar has.”

As Johnny returned to the Square, the pair agreed to keep their distance from each other, but will they be able to resist? And with Ben Mitchell confirmed to be returning soon, how will things progress?
