EastEnders has aired the return of two major characters in Reiss Colwell’s dramatic plot, in the show’s latest episode.
Sonia Fowler is currently in prison for the murder of Reiss’ wife Debbie. However, she is innocent, and Reiss is the real culprit.
Bianca became convinced that Reiss was responsible for Debbie’s death, and back in November she discovered the truth. Reiss took action and lured Bianca to a lock-up, where he has been holding her captive ever since.
Sonia’s murder trial has arrived, and in today’s episode, Reiss told Martin that he was going to visit his fiancée in prison before she appeared in court.
At the prison, Reiss reunited with Sonia, who is now heavily pregnant. Sonia was visibly upset about having to carry her baby behind bars.
She told Reiss that she hasn’t heard from Bianca since her plea hearing, and that she wanted her sister’s support when she took the stand later.
Sonia was scared about being found guilty, once the nurse has told the court that she was at the nursing home on the night of Debbie’s death. Reiss promised to fix things for her, though it isn’t known what his new plan is.
When Sonia later arrived in court, with Debbie’s parents facing her, she was heartened to see that Martin was there to support her but wasn’t pleased that both Reiss and Bianca were missing.
Meanwhile, Reiss went to the lock-up and began ranting about the case to Bianca – seen on screen for the first time since November.
Bianca remained silent throughout the short scene and was sat on the sofa, having been chained up by Reiss for months now.
It has already been confirmed that Bianca will appear in episodes later this month, but her return today had been kept under wraps. What will Bianca do next, and will she be able to bring Reiss down and get justice for Sonia?
