Harvey Monroe and Kathy Beale have shared a shocking kiss in EastEnders.
Tuesday’s (October 29) episode revolved around Jean calling social services to stop Tommy Moon’s violent outbursts against his mum Kat and his brothers. Kat and Jean were at each other’s throats in the Vic,
where Kat was horrified to learn that most of her family knew about Jean reporting Tommy.
Kojo stepped in to defend Jean, with Kat warning him that Jean would stab him in the back just like she’d done with Tommy. Elaine finally stepped in to order the Slaters out of the Vic.
At No.31, Kat lashed out at Jean and Stacey, as she mocked them for “getting carted away every few years” for mental health issues.
“Pardon me if I don’t want to involve the world and his wife in my problems,” Kat declared. “I’ve had your do-gooding up to here, Jean. Just because you messed things up with your own son! You are a spiteful, bitter old woman and you are dead to me.”
Later, Harvey tried to comfort Jean with a romantic meal and shared his hope that Kat would soften her stance over time. Jean snapped at Harvey, admitting she may never forgive him for his involvement with Maya.
Jean went off to the cafe, where she had a heart-to-heart conversation with Kojo that helped her to realise she owed Harvey an apology.

At that very moment, Harvey had stopped in at No.45 to thank Kathy Beale for her advice with recipes for his dinner with Jean.
Since Jean had rejected Harvey’s romantic dinner, he decided to tuck into the meal with Kathy instead. The pair shared a few drinks, leading to a shocking turn of events.
Kathy spoke about how much she’d been struggling, and after Harvey took her hand, the pair shared a kiss. Kathy immediately pulled away, realising she’d made a mistake.
“I should go,” Harvey quickly decided.
