LES Battersby’s death mystery will deepen when his employer makes a hush money offer in Coronation

His death comes 15 years after Bruce Jones last played Les, having departed the cobbles in 2007.
Last week Coronation Street viewers saw his daughter Leanne received the heartbreaking news.
“Leanne Battersby, there’s no easy way to say this – your dad was involved in an accident at work last night,” the policewoman told her.
“I’m sorry but he died from his injuries.”
Next week Leanne and Toyah will receive a £60,000 offer from Les’ employer following his death.
However, in order for them to receive the money they’ll have to sign non-disclosure agreements NDAs.
When Gemma returns from Portsmouth and is put out to realise Chesney kept quiet, she urges him to accept the compensation.
It remains to be seen if Chesney does eventually accept the compensation offer, but takes matters into his own hands.
Later, as Chesney pulls up in his car, he clocks a man in the van across the street.
