Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of August 19-23 reveal that Connie Viniski

will have a heated showdown with Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), so Melinda will find

herself with a target

on her back.

Connie will try to get rid of Melinda for good, but that plan will go wrong since we know Melinda will survive whatever’s in store.

Over with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), he’ll struggle to console Abigail DiMera (AnnaLynne McCord) as she wraps her head around the DNA confirmation that she’s Abby.

Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain) will also be rather nervous as she waits to reunite with Abigail, so Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will try to calm her down.

Later, Abigail will have an interesting encounter with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) that seems poised to spark a memory. Will Abigail remember hooking up with EJ once upon a time?

Regardless, DOOL spoilers say Abigail will indeed have some sort of memory flash following this EJ interaction, so Chad will get some significant updates.

Although Chad will be thrilled at the thought of Abigail’s memory getting jogged, he may be disappointed if she starts recalling moments with EJ instead of her own husband.

Next, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) will finally unleash her wrath on Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), so Stefan will make a passionate plea for forgiveness.

Other Days spoilers say Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will fear he’s behind the hit-and-run accident as he mulls over what happened during his drunken blackout. Thanks to Fiona’s deception, the evidence will start mounting against Brady.

Although Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) will be working hard to crack the case of who ran over Sarah Horton-Cook (Linsey Godfrey), she won’t be moving fast enough for Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) taste.

Xander will rip into Jada over how the investigation’s being handled and demand justice for Sarah, who’ll try to stay upbeat despite the complications that are brewing in her recovery.

Days spoilers say Jada will close in on her top suspect, so lying Fiona will just hope it’s not her! Will it be Brady who ultimately gets arrested for the crime?

Meanwhile, Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) marriage to Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) will officially be annulled, since he’ll receive all the necessary paperwork.

Perhaps Alex will use this as an excuse to celebrate with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).

However, Alex could have a different reason to celebrate after he’s pushed into auditioning for Body and Soul. If Alex agrees and scores a part, he’ll have a new job.

Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) will also face Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) pressure to audition, so she could end up working alongside Alex – maybe even in a hot Body and Soul love story.

Speaking of love stories, Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) own romance will come with more curveballs.

That’s because Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) is about to make an even bigger mess.

Days spoilers say Sophia will make a move on Tate and try to get him to cheat on Holly, but he may shut her down for now.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Sophia will give up, so she could have other tricks up her sleeve to pull Tate closer.

If all else fails, Sophia can rat Tate out over his fake lacrosse camp attendance and blow up his plan to have a public romance with Holly in the fall.
