SHOCKING NEWS!!! Corrie to release interactive novel with big mystery plot

Coronation Street will release a new interactive novel this autumn, which will give fans the chance to

tackle a major mystery on the cobbles.

The Street of Lies is set in November 1983, with the drama beginning when several Street residents

receive anonymous poison pen letters. With each note containing a threat to either expose a scandal or spread a nasty rumour about the recipient, the race is on to find the unknown writer.

Just who is behind the letters – a current cobbles dweller, a departed resident, or somebody who is completely on the outside? And what exactly is their motive?

It’s up to the reader to assume the role of a police constable and crack the case before the worried cobbles locals have their lives ruined. With a potential promotion to detective also on the cards, there’s a lot riding on the solving of this case.

The reader’s task is “to make the right choices, solve the case and – most tricky of all – stay undercover!” Will you be able to solve the mystery?

Street of Lies, which is due to be published on October 24, has been written by Abigail Kemp, who previously worked in Corrie‘s publicity department and who has also written the script for the Coronation Street Tour, plus a book celebrating 60 years of the soap.

The Street of Lies is available to pre-order on Amazon now. It’s published by Octopus Books, which will also release Midsomer Murders tie-in novel Could You Survive Midsomer? A Winter’s Murder on October 10.

It isn’t the only Corrie book that fans can look forward to delving into later this year either, with Merry Christmas Coronation Street due to arrive on shelves on November 21.

This new tie-in novel follows aspiring actor Peggy Brown, who heads to the cobbles to take on a panto role at the local theatre and soon forms a bond with the iconic Elsie Tanner.
