Peter was all smiles with co-stars Jane Hazlegrove, who plays Bernie Winter on Corrie, and Billy Mayhew star Daniel Brocklebank on set.
He rocked a striped t-shirt, brown jacket and jeans, while Jane opted for an oversized blue jacket.
Daniel wore a navy jacket, jeans and brown shoes.
Peter said: “It was so lovely to be back on the cobbles of Coronation Street one FINAL time!
“That brings my total episodes of Corrie to a neat 600! It’s been the time of my life!
“Love you, @jane_hazlegrove & @danielbrocklebank.”
Earlier this week Peter’s alter-ego Paul returned from the dead to save Billy from freezing to death.
The ITV soap stunned viewers in today’s episode when Paul Foreman made a shock return from the dead – weeks after he died of motor neurone disease.
Back in September fans were left in tears when his character passed away.
His character had been battling motor neuron disease (MND) – a rare condition which affects the brain and nerves.
Moment Coronation Street’s Billy Mayhew is saved from tragic death as Paul ‘returns from the dead’ in emotional scenes
He used a wheelchair and required the assistance of a carer in order to fulfil his daily needs, and was rushed to hospital when his condition worsened.
However Summer, Gemma and Bernie realised that Billy wasn’t going to make it in time to say his final good bye.
Bernie realised, and called him so he could speak to him over the phone.
In heartbreaking scenes, Paul stops breathing before Billy gets a chance to speak, but rather than tell him the truth, Bernie lets him speak and tells him Paul is listening.
“My beautiful husband, I’m sorry I’m not there yet,” he says as he tries to catch his breath.
He continues: “I love you Paul, and I am gonna miss you every day for the rest of my life. And even though I don’t say it, I would do this a million times over because being with you and loving you has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
“You just hold on, I’m coming.”
Corrie fans were left sobbing at the emotional scenes.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one said: “Coronation street hitting me right in the heart tonight…what a storyline this has been.”
Another said: “This storyline has been acted out so well by Peter Ash and the other actors, so sad for everyone experiencing this awful disease in real life.”
“I can’t. Corrie you’ve broken my heart tonight,” said a third.
