Coronation Street‘s Sam Blakeman will accidentally injure himself while trying to get his dad Nick Tilsley and Leanne Battersby back together.

Nick and Leanne recently split up after Leanne uncovered Nick’s affair with Toyah on the secret file Rowan was using to blackmail Nick.

However, Sam isn’t quite ready to give up on the pair and comes up with a plan to rekindle their relationship.

In upcoming scenes, Sam sees Nick flirting with a customer at the Bistro and decides to interfere by telling the customer that Nick is engaged.

Later in the week, Sam prepares a romantic meal at the flat to try and get Leanne and Nick back together.

However, disaster strikes when the he uses a sharp knife to try and open some oysters, leaving a nasty gash on his hand.

Sam heads over to No.7 to show his injury to Asha, who takes a woozy Sam to hospital to have stitches.

How will Nick and Leanne react when they discover that Sam’s plans to get them together have resulted in him being injured?

Later in the week, Leanne tells Toyah that both of them should move out of the flat to help Nick and Sam.

She tells Toyah that she has rented the salon flat, but Toyah should find her own place. How will Toyah react?

Elsewhere next week, Nick is informed that ruthless cult leader Rowan Cunliffe is pleading not guilty to the charges he’s facing, meaning his fraud and blackmail case will go to trial. This casts doubt on whether Rowan really will face the full consequences of his actions.
