Coronation Street‘s Max Turner has made a return appearance on the show to provide further closure on the Harvey Gaskell storyline.
The troubled teenager made a cameo in Wednesday’s episode for a phone call with his family, updating them on how he’s coping in prison.
Max was recently sentenced to six and a half years in jail for arson after his disastrous decision to set fire to the Platt house in an insurance scam.
He was subsequently transferred to a prison in County Durham, as gangster Harvey had been making dark threats against his safety as part of his long-running war with the Platt family.
Even after the move, Harvey warned David Platt that he’d still be able to use criminal contacts to get to Max.
Earlier this week, the Harvey storyline finally came to an end as David’s wife Shona took matters into her own hands by paying him £40,000 to settle their debt.
Shona got hold of the money by blackmailing Daisy Midgeley over the car accident she’d caused late last year.
In his phone call with David, Max confirmed that he hadn’t heard any mention of Harvey behind bars – indicating that the dangerous criminal is finally ready to move on from terrorising the Platts.

Describing his time in prison so far, Max explained: “Fine. Better than I expected, to be honest, so you can stop worrying.
“I haven’t heard anything about Harvey, which is good, so hopefully that’s all sorted.”
Later, he added: “I’m not going to pretend it’s nice in here, but it’s okay. I’m okay. I’m good and I’m going to keep my head down, get through it.”
Paddy Bever, who played Max, announced in January that he’d left Coronation Street to explore other projects.
In a statement shared with at the time, he said: “After much reflection and in an incredibly difficult decision, I have chosen to step away from Max and Coronation Street to explore new opportunities.
“I have been surrounded by such kindness and support every step of the way.”

He added: “I’m eternally grateful for the chance to bring Max’s story to life and it’s been a great privilege to contribute to the legacy of such a well-loved and iconic show.
“This chapter has been unforgettable and while I look forward to what lies ahead, I will treasure these memories.”
