Coronation Street‘s Leanne Battersby pushes her luck too far with her revenge plan this Christmas.

Leanne arouses suspicion from her ex-partner Nick Tilsley after trying to set him and Toyah Habeeb up for fraud.

Viewers have seen Leanne turn ruthless after discovering that Nick and Toyah are still seeing each other behind her back.

Deciding to address her sister’s betrayal first, Leanne recently stole Toyah’s passport and used it to fraudulently open a bank account in her name. She then transferred money from the Bistro business account to Toyah’s new one.

Corrie fans can expect the story to reach a dramatic climax at Christmas, as Leanne alerts Nick to a problem with the business accounts.

The former couple look through the figures together and uncover a series of mysterious payments made to ‘TLH Holdings’. Nick acts quickly, calling the bank to freeze the account.

Shortly afterwards, Toyah receives a nasty shock as DC Kit Green arrives to arrest her under suspicion of theft and fraud.

Toyah promises Nick that she has never stolen from the Bistro and she correctly guesses that Leanne has set her up.

With one target in deep trouble, Leanne then shifts her focus to Nick. She calls at the police station and shows Craig Tinker a pile of expensive presents that Nick has bought for Toyah.

Leanne suggests that Nick and Toyah must be in it together, leaving Craig shocked by what she’s insinuating.

On Christmas Day, the police investigation continues and officers arrive at the Bistro just as guests are starting to turn up for Gail Rodwell and Jesse Chadwick’s wedding.

Nick and Toyah are told that they’ll have to face further questioning over fraud allegations.

At the police station, a heated row between Leanne and Toyah escalates into a full-blown fight.

Once released, Nick tries to do some digging to prove that Leanne is the one setting him and Toyah up.

He examines some CCTV footage and spots evidence of Leanne’s suspicious behaviour. Has he done enough to stop Leanne in her tracks?
