Coronation Street‘s Kyran Bowes has shared a big achievement that happened for him this week, outside
of the ITV soap.
The actor, who has played Jack Webster since 2016, shared a photo of himself in his garden holding a
trophy to his Twitter/X account.
He wrote: “Super chuffed with myself. I only went and got awarded STUDENT OF THE YEAR! Thank you to my tutors for this and most importantly for all your help & for believing in me.”
Fans of the show congratulated him on the achievement, and for balancing his studies with learning his scripts and performing in Corrie.
Last August, Bowes revealed that he had reduced his commitments to the soap due to focusing on his GCSEs, but once they were done and dusted, he made more appearances on the Cobbles again.
“Hy all. Sorry for the absence,” he said at the time. “I took some time away to concentrate on my studies. Happy to say I’m back and even happier to say I passed my GCSES. Hard work and perseverance really does pay off. Now it’s time to celebrate.”
During his time on Corrie, Bowes was at the centre of a very memorable issue-based storyline where Jack developed sepsis and had to have part of his leg amputated. It was reported that this storyline helped to save the life of an actual 4-year-old girl when her mother recognised the symptoms from Coronation Street.
Meanwhile, fellow Corrie star Alison King has just responded to all the fan theories that there’s a romance on the way for her character Carla Connor and DS Swain. Are viewers on the right track?
