Coronation Street‘s Kit Green shocks his girlfriend Sarah Barlow next week by confessing that he might be a secret father.

Kit decides to bring Sarah up to speed as he’s plagued by uncertainty over his connection to Brody Michaelis.

Last week, Kit realised that he could be the biological dad of 16-year-old Brody, who was raised by troublesome couple Mick and Lou.

Kit had a fling with Lou while they were teenagers, as explained in Corrie‘s recent flashback special. When Kit taunted his old friend Mick with the truth this week, it sent the dangerous thug on a new downward spiral.

Next week, Sarah and Bernie Winter witness the tail-end of a huge confrontation between Kit and Brody.

Brody blames Kit for Mick being arrested following his recent spate of violent crimes. Convinced that it’s all a police stitch-up, Brody breaks into Kit’s flat and trashes the place.

“By this point, Kit’s had enough of covering for the Michaelis family,” our Corrie source explains. “After what’s happened to Craig, it’s all gone too far.

“Brody is arrested after a report from Kit, who thinks he should face the consequences of his actions. But Bernie makes a mockery of this when she steps in to give Brody a false alibi for the time that Kit’s flat was targeted.”

Bernie defends her actions in front of Kit and Sarah, pointing out that Brody is family.

With the secret spreading, Kit reluctantly explains to Sarah that he slept with Lou years ago and suspects that Brody is his son. How will Sarah react to this?

“Kit has only kept the truth from Sarah for a few days, but it’ll be interesting to see what she makes of it all,” our insider adds.

“Sarah may have hoped for a quiet life after her chaotic relationship with Damon Hay, but it’s clear that Kit brings plenty of drama with him too. Can she cope with this ever-present link to the Michaelis family?”
