Coronation Street will air an unexpected development in the ongoing murder mystery concerning Joel Deering.

In scenes airing on November 13, a new piece of evidence sends the investigation into Joel’s death into a whole new direction. DC Kit Green has his eyes on DS

Lisa Swain after her issue CS spray is found with the murder weapon.

Lisa confides in Carla Connor, telling her she suspects someone planted her CS spray. The DS fears she’s being framed by the real murderer and retraces her steps, trying to figure out who could’ve stolen her spray.

In earlier episodes, it was revealed that Joel was already dead when he hit the water.

Dee-Dee Bailey is set to confess she attacked Joel with a crowbar after finding out he was planning on leaving Weatherfield to escape justice for his crimes.

Overwhelmed by guilt, Dee-Dee goes to the police despite her father Ed pleading with her not to.

As the soap prepares to reveal what really happened to Joel in a special flashback episode airing on November 15, it seems there may be another culprit who finished off the job after Dee-Dee fled.

Several characters want to see Joel gone, after all.

The list of suspects includes Lisa and Dee-Dee’s dad Ed, Ronnie Bailey, Carla and Mason Radcliffe.

Kit is also keeping a secret regarding the evening of Joel’s death. Earlier this week, a Corrie scene from the night of Joel’s murder saw the shady detective in an agitated state as he deleted a phone call and swiped a bottle of whiskey from the Rovers bar.
