This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) had a big decision to make in tonight’s Coronation Street, but could she live to regret her choice?
The barmaid has been targeting step-mum Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) in an elaborate con after finding out about her secret windfall.
Tonight, Jenny came clean to Daisy about the money she got from shares in her name, but her honesty was too little too late.
Daisy and mum Christina Midgeley (Amy Robbins) are already deep in their catfishing plot, with the end goal to convince Jenny to invest in ‘lover’ Dom’s fake business.
However, the plan hit a hurdle in tonight’s episode when Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) caught Christina and Daisy with a burner phone, and was instantly onto them.

This isn’t the first time Daisy has dabbled in catfishing, having previously pretended to be Ryan Connor’s (Ryan Prescott) love interest Crystal following the acid attack.
Daniel was furious at Daisy for her actions toward Jenny, and the pair had a massive row.
Though Daisy argued that Jenny deserved it after keeping her windfall a secret and going behind her back to buy the Rovers, Daniel didn’t believe her actions could be justified in any way.

As he admitted that he hated this part of her, it was clear their relationship was in a difficult place.
Meanwhile, Jenny was having second thoughts about investing in Dom’s business, until a few words from Christina buoyed her to call him and accept.
Following the call, she spotted Daisy in Victoria Gardens and apologised for keeping the money a secret, but insisting that she wanted to buy the pub to secure both of their futures.

However, Daisy didn’t want to work for Jenny anymore, and if she wasn’t going to be an equal partner, she wanted nothing to do with it.
After storming off, she went to see Daniel, where it soon became clear that neither of them had budged on their positions.
It was then that Daniel gave Daisy an ultimatum – him or the con.
