Alan Halsall’s Coronation Street co-stars have celebrated his return to filming.
The Tyrone Dobbs actor stepped away from the ITV soap briefly to take part in this year’s I’m a
Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! alongside GK Barry, Colleen Rooney, and winner Danny Jones.
Swapping Bushtucker Trials for Webster’s Autocentre, Tyrone has returned to the cobbles and Halsall has received a warm welcome from his co-stars.
Sharing behind-the-scenes with the actor, Cassie Plummer star Claire Sweeney wrote on her Instagram Stories: “He’s back!!! Our winner @coronationstreet @alanhalsall.”
She also shared a selfie with Halsall with the message: “You were brilliant @alanhalsall.”
The actor also expressed his excitement to be back on set, posting a photo outside of the iconic Rover’s Return to his own Instagram page.
“Back to doing what I love best,” he wrote alongside the smiling snap.
The soap star exited I’m A Celebrity in sixth place after sparking romance rumours with N-Dubz star Tulisa and clashing with Radio One DJ Dean McCullough.
He was originally set to star in the show in 2023, but had to pull out due to a knee injury.
Halsall previously assured fans his journey into the jungle didn’t mean that Tyrone would be leaving Corrie for good.
“Corrie has been fantastic with it all and I am definitely not leaving the soap. You just won’t see my character for a while on-screen,” he said in a statement.
Earlier this year, Tyrone and his wife Fiz made a difficult decision over their shock pregnancy news after finding out Fiz was expecting another child.
In emotional scenes, Fiz suggested that they were not in the right place for another child and should consider terminating the pregnancy.
Tyrone eventually agreed it was the right decision as the couple tearfully hugged.
