Coronation Street star Sally Carman has unveiled a short hair transformation.
The actor, who plays Abi Webster on the ITV soap, took to Instagram to show off her new haircut, trading her long blonde locks for a
shoulder-length bob.
“Short and sweet. Thank you @leahrileyhair @greatlengthsuk for my new hair doooooo,” she wrote, alongside a smiling selfie.
Carman’s Corrie co-stars quickly took to the comments section to share their love for the shorter look, with Glenda Shuttleworth actor Jodie Prenger writing: “Stun-nin!”

In 2017, Carman joined Coronation Street as the mother of Seb Franklin, who was murdered in a brutal hate crime attack in 2021.
The soap began a devastating storyline for Abi earlier this year, which saw the character become the victim of deepfake porn – an AI technology which is used to alter the faces of actors in already-existing pornographic material.
Abi came to the conclusion that Stefan Brent, the scheming father of Seb’s killer Corey, was responsible for posting the videos. She had decided to speak out against a documentary that painted Corey in a positive light.
After Stefan’s office was set on fire in July, Abi found herself under suspicion, with DS Swain taking her in for questioning.
It was later revealed that Jack Webster was behind the arson, though he insisted that he never meant to start the blaze.
