Coronation Street‘s Nick Tilsley and Toyah Habeeb struggle to keep their secret relationship under wraps next week.
The cagey couple find themselves fielding awkward questions from Leanne Battersby when they keep slipping up around her.
After already being caught out by Leanne over their brief affair, Nick and Toyah recently agreed to keep seeing each other in secret.
With both now free agents, the pair realised that they enjoyed the thrill of an “affair” where nobody was actually cheating.
Next week, Nick and Toyah realise that it’s time to move forward by finally being honest with everyone.
First up, Nick invites Toyah to join him and his son Sam for a meal at the flat. He points out that this will give Sam a chance to get used to seeing them together before they go public as a couple.
Shortly afterwards, Nick makes a plan for him and Toyah to share their news with Leanne, then go on holiday to give her time to process it.
Toyah fears that it’s still too soon, asking Nick to wait until after Oliver’s memorial and Rowan Cunliffe’s upcoming trial.
Nick agrees, but there’s a worrying moment when Leanne spots the holiday booking on his laptop. Will Nick be able to explain this?

A few days later, Nick invites Leanne over to the flat and prepares to tell her the truth.
Before Nick gets his chance, a police officer arrives at the flat to break the sad news that Leanne’s dad Les Battersby has died at work.
Leanne is devastated and rushes out to find Toyah, so Nick calls Toyah to warn her about how his planned conversation didn’t happen.
Leanne catches up with Toyah and the sisters are united in their grief for Les, but it quickly becomes clear that Toyah already knew.
As Toyah is forced to confirm that Nick called ahead to tell her about Les, Leanne is confused and wants to know why.
Nick and Toyah’s latest excuses don’t make much sense, so Leanne delves back into Nick’s laptop, brings up the details of the Tenerife booking and calls the hotel. What will she find out?
