Coronation Street reveals Dylan Wilson’s fate next week – as a former Hollyoaks star joins the show to play a role in his latest storyline.
Dylan must face the music after his knife was used to kill Mason Radcliffe in tragic scenes last month.
Viewers know that Dylan bought a zombie knife online last year, believing that he was protecting himself amid threats and intimidation from Mason.
Months later, Dylan brought out the weapon when Mason was being targeted by his abusive brothers Logan and Matty. The siblings grabbed the knife and used it against Mason, fatally injuring him.
Next week, Dylan confides in Mason’s grieving girlfriend Betsy Swain on the eve of his court appearance.
Dylan expresses his fears that he’s bound to get sent down, due to the seriousness of the situation and this not being his first offence.
Betsy encourages Dylan to stay positive and promises that she’ll visit him if the worst happens. She then leans in for a kiss and Dylan responds.
The next day, Dylan faces court and tells the judge that he only ever brought out the knife to scare Matty and Logan.
This turns out to be the wrong thing to say, as the judge declares that he should be facing the more serious charge of making threats with a knife.
After the frightening exchange, Dylan’s lawyer Adam Barlow warns him that he could be facing a two-year sentence.
While we can’t give away Dylan’s exact sentence, spoiler pictures have been released confirming that he ends up in the Secure Training Centre.
Daniel Osbourne makes a point of checking on Dylan while teaching at the facility.
This is noticed by Brody, one of the other lads. When Dylan explains that Daniel was a neighbour, Brody encourages him to keep this quiet to avoid becoming a target for bullying.
Brody’s concerns prove to be well-founded, as Dylan starts to receive a hard time from the other inmates.
Dylan is defended by Brody, who scares the others off and encourages Dylan to stay by his side while he settles in.
The role of Brody is played by actor Ryan Mulvey, who recently left Channel 4’s Hollyoaks after a year-long stint as villain JJ Osborne.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, February 24, Wednesday, February 26 and Thursday, February 27 on ITV1 and ITVX.
