Carla is devastated to hear that the damage to her kidney is severe and she’ll need a transplant. Ryan and Bobby reel at the news.

Ryan tells Carla that if he’s a match, he’d like to donate a kidney, but she won’t hear of it and wonders where Bobby has got to.

Bobby climbs out of a cab and heads in through the gates of Highfield Prison. Rob approaches Bobby in the prison visiting room. Rob is stunned to hear that Bobby has come to persuade him to donate a kidney to Carla. How will Rob react?

Meanwhile, Abi is struggling with what she witnessed and takes her eyes off Alfie in the play area. Abi frantically searches the precinct for Alfie.

When she finally sees Toyah walking along with him, she accuses Toyah of abducting him.

Back at home Abi can’t tear her eyes away from Alfie and Kevin watches her with concern.

Elsewhere, at No.8, David continues to treat Shona with contempt. Sarah despairs and urges him to move on for the sake of his marriage.

On the street, Kit takes a call from Shona, who informs him that Matty and Logan are in Freshco car park. Kit orders her to leave as quickly as possible.

Having overheard, Sarah’s deeply concerned, but when she tries to tell David, he jumps to the wrong conclusion. Grabbing Sarah’s car key, he speeds off in pursuit of Kit.

Also today, in the café, Evelyn tells Yasmeen that she’s moving into student halls today and she’s itching to start her Law degree. Yasmeen feels a pang of envy. Roy calls at No.9 and awkwardly admits to Evelyn that he’ll miss her while she’s away.

Fiz and Tyrone call at The Rovers to find Evelyn enjoying a farewell drink with Roy, Brian and Yasmeen. Tyrone tells her the car is all packed and it’s time to go.

Finally, when Gemma reveals that Joseph will be let off with a youth caution for making the hoax call, Fiz is sympathetic, aware that the prank was Hope’s idea.

At No.5, Chesney receives a cheque through the post for £20k by way of compensation for Les’s death. Gemma insists they go for a celebratory drink.
