Coronation Street has revealed that Dylan Wilson has been secretly carrying a knife in recent months.
The teenager’s dangerous decision was exposed in Friday’s episode as his traumatic past with Mason
Radcliffe was revisited.
When Dylan was hanging out at the Weatherfield Precinct, he was taken by surprise as a lad tried to steal his bag.
Mason witnessed the incident and intervened by chasing after the thief, forcing him to give the bag up.
Amid the chaos, Mason was concerned to spot that Dylan had a knife stashed away in the bag.
Once the lad had rushed off, Mason confronted Dylan over his reasons for carrying a knife. Dylan sheepishly explained that he wanted to defend himself after Mason was released from Young Offenders.
Feeling guilty that he’d pushed Dylan to such lengths with his bullying and threats, Mason urged him to get rid of the knife as there was no reason to be scared any more.
Mason also pointed out the dangers of carrying a knife, telling Dylan that he was putting himself at risk.

When they caught up later at the café, Mason told Dylan: “Bro, I want you to be safe, alright? Look, no odds to me, but you got tooled up because of stuff that I did.”
Dylan assured Mason that he’d taken his advice by handing in the knife to an amnesty box at the police station, where weapons can be given up without any questions asked.
He urged Mason to drop the issue now, but is there more to come for the story?
