SHOCKING NEWS!!! Coronation Street legend fears soap will be cancelled after ‘extremely average’ acting

Legendary cast member Charlie Lawson of Coronation Street believes the long-running soap opera won’t

be around for very long since the older performers are “not happy” and the show’s viewership has

“plummeted”.

Charlie Lawson, a veteran of Coronation Street, has expressed concern over the show’s future and stated that it might end in ten years. The 64-year-old actor, who became well-known in 1989 for his portrayal of Jim McDonald, has voiced his worry about what he perceives to be a decline in acting quality and a weary group of older actors alienating loyal viewers, raising the possibility that the show’s most well-known residents may be leaving Weatherfield.

Actor and actress Sarah Lancashire shared her concerns during the memorial service for late Corrie author John Stevenson. “I fear that ‘Corrie’ might not be here in ten years’ time,” he revealed with The Sun on Sunday, reflecting on their talk. I was conversing with Sarah. John wouldn’t recognize the show, we both agreed.”

He continued lamenting the change, saying, “We felt it was a completely different animal, so fundamentally different from our day – and the viewing figures have plummeted.”

Charlie expressed dissatisfaction with the burdensome expectations imposed on seasoned cast members such as Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts) and Barbara Knox (Rita Tanner), implying that they would leave, as did Helen Worth, who played Gail Platt for an astounding fifty years.

He went on to say that the state of affairs on set today was very depressing: “The workload is enormous. Because of the large cast, there is less time for enjoyment and getting to know everyone.”

Finally making a somber remark about his coworkers, he said, “I wouldn’t be shocked if some of the stable of senior performers quit as well. It’s not the pleasant ship it used to be, and I know they are not pleased.”

“The young people in ‘Corrie’ have an obligation to strive towards upholding their foundation.” But I fear that the majority of them never will. While some of the younger cast members give very mediocre or even dismal performances, there are also some outstanding performances.”

“They frequently work with Alison King since she is an incredibly talented actor. However, I am aware that she becomes really tired.”

“You use the best center forward on the field if you have one. And they do, along with Gregson’s Simon. They are good; they occasionally get flogged.”

“The only way I can see him going back is to die.”

“How is Jim going to fit in now? TV has been submerged in a big puddle of PC woke s***e. You would have to radically alter him, take off all of his nuts. I was unable to play that.

It would be a betrayal of the character, who rose to legendary status, and of all “Corrie” writers, past and present. It is depressing. The character should live on forever, in my opinion.”

With a reference to his Corrie slogan, Charlie has now written his memoirs That’s Life, So It Is, which he claims would never have been published due of its explosive stories while he was on the show.
