Coronation Street‘s Tracy Barlow uncovers Abi and Carl Webster’s dirty secret next week, when she spots the pair smooching at No. 13.
With Kevin and Jack away in Spain, Abi and Carl share a steamy night at the Webster house. And it seems as if they’ve gotten away with their antics – until Tracy spies the couple kissing through the kitchen window…
“Tracy is the last person you’d want to be caught out by,” our Corrie source points out. “She hasn’t got a smidgen of empathy at the best of times, let alone when it comes to a love rival.
“Plus, it appears that Tracy has a devious smile on her face after she catches them, so Abi and Carl better brace themselves…”
The week begins with Carl flirtatiously offering his hotel room number to Tracy, which irks Abi to the core. However, his secret lover calms down when Carl reveals that it was a cover and suggests they should meet up later at the Chariot Square.
Subsequently, Carl returns to his room and hears the shower running. Believing that Abi is waiting for him, the mechanic cracks a grin – but it’s soon revealed that it’s Tracy who has let herself in! Will Carl give in to his admirer’s advances?
“Carl later turns up at No. 13, interrupting a tender moment between Abi and Kev,” shares our source. “Taking Abi to one side, Carl privately tells her that Tracy tried it on with him, but he turned her down.
“Abi doesn’t hear Carl out for long though, as she pushes him out the door as quick as she can…”
Later in the week, Debbie convinces Tracy to pursue Carl again, and even offers drinks on the house. Meanwhile, Carl meets Abi at the ginnel, where he insists that as long as she sleeps with Kevin, he is free to do the same with Tracy…
Abi’s thoughtful as she returns home to pack for her family holiday – and ends up telling Kevin that she can’t find her passport, so he and Jack should go ahead without her.
“It’s very convenient timing,” muses our source. “Although, Abi doesn’t entirely excuse herself, as she tells Kevin that she’ll join them once she secures a new passport.
“At the same time, Carl breaks it to Tracy that he’s in love with someone else, which leads Tracy to guess that it’s Abi. You’ll have to see whether he can persuade her otherwise…”
Once Kevin and Jack jet off, Carl and Abi spend the night together. Smitten, Abi picks up lager from the corner shop, which leaves passer-by Tracy feeling confused.
Meanwhile, Debbie lets herself into No.13, unaware that her younger brother is hiding upstairs. However, when Debbie suddenly collapses, Carl has no choice but to race to her side.
Abi arrives home to find Carl tending to his unconscious sibling, and calls for an ambulance and Ronnie, while Carl scurries upstairs. Once the chaos has settled, Abi and Carl share an embrace which leads to a passionate kiss.
As curious Tracy watches on through the window, will she blow Abi and Carl’s lives apart? And if so, how will she go about it?
