Coronation Street has confirmed a sad outcome for Amy Barlow next week, following the return appearance of a previous villain.
Last week, Eric Sandford made a brief comeback after two years. Eric is the abusive dad of Amy’s former flatmate Aaron, who sexually assaulted her after a night out and tried to discredit her when she publicly accused him.
In recently-aired scenes, Amy bumped into Eric at a party, and he smugly told her that Aaron is getting married and has a baby on the way. An upset Amy tried to call her dad Steve McDonald multiple times, but all her calls were missed as he was sharing a kiss, and then a bed, with Leanne Battersby.
In scenes set to air on Monday (February 3), Tracy tells Steve that she can’t get hold of Amy, and he says she must have spent all night at the party.
Amy explains to both of them that her phone died and she lost her car keys, and she ended up wandering the streets all night.
A guilty Steve makes out like he missed out on her calls due to having an early night, but will she find out that he was actually with Leanne?
Elsewhere, following their night together, Leanne tries to get Steve to join her for a booze-filled afternoon, but he’s not interested, much to her disappointment.
