SHOCKING NEWS!! Coronation Street confirms fire culprit as exit ‘sealed’ – but it’s not Abi

Coronation Street has revealed which character was behind the recent fire at Stefan Brent’s office.

After Abi Franklin found herself accused of the crime after her feud with the character, the true culprit

was exposed on Wednesday. The fire had been started in Stefan’s car outside his office building, only for

it to spread there.

Police began investigating the blaze as arson, and Abi and her partner Kevin Webster were both under suspicion due to their recent run-ins with Stefan. Stefan is the father of Corey Brent, who murdered Abi’s son Seb Franklin.

Recent drama boiled over between the pair amid a deepfake porn scandal where Abi found herself the victim of faked sex tapes. But neither Abi or Kevin were behind the blaze, and in the latest episode of the ITV soap viewers found out who really started it.

It was Kevin’s young son Jack Webster who set the fire, with him tearfully confessing to stepmother Abi. He explained that after Stefan’s treatment towards Abi and Kevin, and him targeting him too, he wanted to make him pay.

Jack claimed he had set fire to the car to trash it, wanting to get back at him. What he didn’t expect to happen was for the blaze to spread to the office building, with Stefan inside at the time.

As Jack feared the police would accuse him of attempting to murder the businessman, he confessed all to Abi and eventually Kevin too. Kevin was mortified by his son’s actions, and shouted at him as Abi tried to help.

Abi vowed to be there for Jack and sort things out, not wanting him to get into trouble. But worried for his son and whether he’d be sent to prison, Kevin went behind Abi’s back and decided to tell the police he was the one behind

Abi couldn’t stop him as he raced to the police station to make a statement, telling DS Swain that he started the fire and should be arrested. But with Jack soon caught could he be sent to prison, leading to an exit twist?
