Coronation Street has announced a live stage show featuring some of the show’s most-loved actors.
The new show, which will be hosted by This Morning’s resident soap expert Sharon Marshall, will feature in-depth interviews between cast members in front of a live audience, where fans can find out more about what really happens on the cobbles of Weatherfield.
The show, which has been named An Audience with Coronation Street, promises to be filled with “laughter, nostalgia, and more than a few jaw-dropping surprises”.
Each show will also feature a special Corrie guest taking to the stage in a “showstopping twist” – although details about who the special guest is for each show is being kept hush for now.
Cast members set to appear include Andrew Whyment (Kirk Sutherland), Jack P Shepherd (David Platt), Jimmi Harkishin (Dev Alahan) and Jodie Prenger (Glenda Shuttleworth).
The show’s cast, which will vary across the live dates, also includes Patti Clare (Mary Taylor), Rob Mallard (Daniel Osbourne), Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor) and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald).
The show will tour the UK this September, with confirmed performances coming to London (September 14), Sheffield (September 19), Salford (September 20) and Glasgow (September 20).
Tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, March 14 at 10am and will be priced from £29.50 (plus a booking fee).
Meanwhile, Helen Flanagan has expressed interest in returning to the cobbles as Rosie Webster, telling The Mirror earlier this month: “I’m at home in Bolton, which means I will be able to work around the kids.”
