Coming back to the pavilion. Coronation Street alum Shayne Ward is returning to his roots of soaps soon and the latest reports suggest that he

isn’t coming to the soap alone. Coronation Street fans would recall, Shayne Ward played the role of Aiden Connor on the ITV soap before he

eventually left in 2018.

As Aiden Connor, he won two major awards and won everyone’s hearts of course. Now. the actor is returning to soaps. While we would have hoped that he returns to Coronation Street, it does not looks like that is happening. The actor infact is returning for a stint on the BBC soap opera- “Doctors.”

After leaving Coronation Street, the actor went onto be a part of The Good Ship Murder. Now, we regularly see him on Strictly Come Dancing. But, next week, that is, on October 3, 2024, we will get to see him on Doctors where he will play a character called Kenny Webb.

Another interesting part about his return to soap is that he isn’t coming back alone. In fact, his fiance would be joining him in this adventure. Ward’s real-life fiance- Austin, who has been a part of soaps like Hollyoaks will come in to do a role on Doctors too.

Both Shayne and Austin will play the characters of Kenny and Sandra who will come to the hospital for their daughter Lucy. The tension will mount since the hospital will not let them see their child causing an anger outburst.

Seems like a big emotional episode is coming up for all the Doctors fans. Make sure you tune in and enjoy. Also enjoy watching Shayne and his fiance as they take onto the role and take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride.
