Coronation Street has revealed a big secret that Dee-Dee Bailey is keeping in Joel Deering’s murder mystery.
The latest visit to the cobbles, which airs on TV tonight and is already streaming on ITVX, highlights Dee-Dee as a key suspect in the ongoing
whodunit storyline.
Joel’s body was found in the river earlier this week and a post-mortem confirmed that he was already dead when he hit the water.
The villain’s demise was caused by two blows to the head, most likely inflicted during an attack with a crowbar.
Earlier this week, some eerie flashback scenes showed viewers that Mason Radcliffe and Ronnie Bailey are both keeping secrets about the night that Joel died.
In Friday’s episode, the twists and turns continued as further flashbacks to the fateful evening of September 27 were shown.
It turned out that Ronnie and his brother Ed drove off to find Joel that night, taking a crowbar with them.
During Ronnie’s birthday party at the Bistro, he and Ed came clean to Dee-Dee and Debbie Webster about how they broke into Joel’s flat with the crowbar but found the place empty.
The siblings seemingly gave up their search and went home, although Ed secretly fears that Ronnie may have gone rogue with a secret solo plan afterwards.
Meanwhile, Dee-Dee’s own secrets were revealed in separate flashback scenes as she was seen approaching Joel in his car on September 27.
Dee-Dee was clutching a crowbar and was later seen washing away blood in the sink at home, clearly traumatised by whatever had happened. Did she go out for revenge against her deceitful ex-fiancé?
Coronation Street fans can see the big episode tonight at 8pm on ITV1 or right now on ITVX.
