Corrie accidentally leaked the return of a major character over the weekend – and by major, we do mean
major.

Today’s (July 8) instalment of the soap is available to stream now ahead of its primetime TV broadcast, and it finally features the return of Lauren Bolton. The teenager has been missing for months, in one of the soap’s biggest mysteries for ages.
Roy Cropper has been hounded by false allegations that he killed Lauren, and after coming across a local gang, ended up in hospital. At the end of the latest episode, none other than Lauren turned up briefly at his bedside.
However, her return was spoiled by the official episode synopsis for the Friday, July 19 instalment, available to view on services like Virgin Media.

As shared by a fan on Reddit over the weekend, the episode description reads: “Lauren apologises to Roy, but gets a hostile reception from Carla.”
While those of you who’ve seen today’s episode on ITVX before reading this already know that Lauren is alive and back around the Weatherfield area, the synopsis for July 19’s episode confirms that Lauren will be around at least until the end of next week and that Carla won’t be best pleased with her.
But with all the hostility – not to mention evil Joel Deering still around – how long will Lauren stay on the cobbles now?
