on BBC iPlayer.
Two chaotic EastEnders exes have slept together in recent scenes, but things took a dramatic turn for the worse in the
hours that followed.
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Denise Fox (Diane Parish) appeared to have reconciled in recent scenes following the revelation that Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) was responsible for the crush in Peggy’s.
Though it was happy families for the former couple, one person who was intent on causing destruction was the wrongfully accused Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine).
After learning about Jack and Denise’s night of passion, Penny was keen to use Jack’s affair with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) to hurt her father – though the reaction from Denise came as a surprise.
As Penny pointed out that she would struggle to forgive someone for cheating on her, Denise pointed out that she knew Penny was just trying to hurt Jack, and that she wouldn’t fall for it.
However, when she later headed to the Vic to meet Jack and found him hugging Stacey, it was clear that Penny’s words had struck a nerve.
Later, Denise sat Jack down for a conversation, insisting that she wanted to know every detail about the affair that had resulted in their split.
Jack was keen to not harp on the past, but Denise insisted that she needed to know.
The pair soon erupted into a blazing row, with Jack pointing out how their problems had begun when she cheated on him with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
Having realised that the gulf between them was now too big to repair, Denise went ahead and sent off her application for divorce, before encouraging Jack to do the same.
Is it officially over for the couple, or will they eventually reconcile?
