CORONATION Street fans are set for a major shock as Shona Ramsey is brutally attacked by two thugs
and left for dead.
The mum is beaten bloody by two men who follow her and attempt to steal her phone.
Shona is seen walking down an alleyway followed by two men, who grab her and launch into a vicious assault.
They punch her in the face and kick her as she is lying on the ground before making off with her mobile phone and leaving her bleeding and alone on the floor.

Actress Julia Goulding, who plays Shona, was pictured filming the harrowing scenes in Manchester.
She was shown shooting action-packed stunts with two male actors, who were seen grabbing her and tossing her onto a crash mat.
The snaps show the actress covered in fake blood, which runs out of her nose and down her face, as she acts out the harrowing sequence.
Another picture shows Shona lying on the floor after being left for dead by her attackers.
But the actress seemed to be enjoying herself on set, and was pictured giving one of her co-stars a high-five as they completed the scene.
Fans of the show were recently given a huge shock when it was revealed that Shona is the mother of Kylie Platt’s killer Clayton Hibbs.
She is also the ex-girlfriend of evil Nathan Curtis, who is currently grooming Bethany Platt.
Julia admitted her character will be in for a lot of shocks and drama in the coming weeks as the two storylines unfold.
Speaking about Clayton, who Shona gave birth to when she was 13 while in an abusive relationship, Julia told Lorraine: “Their relationship is very fractured, it could get a hell of a lot worse.”
Shona confessed her true identity to a shocked Gail, and Julia opened up about her character’s connection to the Platt family, which also includes Kylie’s grieving husband David.
She said: “I think she’s not the kind of person who would be that manipulative, it’s just mother and mother, they have a lot more in common than either of them realised when they first got to know each other.”
As for her closeness to David, she added: “I think the relationship probably will develop, in which way we don’t yet know, but can you imagine how complicated that will be.
