A run-in with mother-in-law from hell Cindy (Michelle Collins) doesn’t help, and Lauren later books the infant in for an emergency appointment.

At the hospital, she’s told that Jimmy is visually impaired.

Elsewhere in Albert Square, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) has noticed that teenage Lily (Lillia Turner) has been left to run the household, with her mum Stacey (Lacey Turner) continuing to lock herself away.

Kat stages an intervention, trying to work out how best to support her, but she doesn’t take her advice very kindly.

After finally braving the outdoors, Stacey realises that she’s accidentally washed her mobile phone that contains pictures and voicemails from dearly-departed Martin.

Breaking down in the laundrette, her nearest and dearest fear that she is suffering from a bipolar episode.

Elsewhere, Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) is upset on stepdaughter Clare’s 40th birthday, and is urged by Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) to reach out.
